UFO Over YYC: A Halloween Mystery?

          In the early hours of October 29 2022, a pilot who wishes to remain anonymous called the Wings Of The Prairies UFO Investigation Hotline in Regina, Saskatchewan with a fantastic tale- a UFO had followed him all the way to Springbank Airport in Calgary, Alberta from the sleepy Alberta town of Olds! 

          The pilot, who wishes to be referred to as T. Rockefeller, explained that on his late night flight on October 27, he departed Olds in his Cessna 172 and at three thousand feet spotted a dark shape to his starboard at three o'clock high, rapidly closing distance. As the object got closer, he could make out that the object he was seeing was unlike any other, a black triangle he guessed to be roughly the size of a Boeing 737, with a light on each point and one in the middle. T. Rockefeller suddenly realized that the aircraft was on a collision course and had to take evasive action to avoid collision. The black triangle overshot causing significant turbulence for the little Cessna, but came around again, this time to attempt formation flying with the 172. According to Mr. Rockefeller, the unknown aircraft suddenly slowed down significantly from its near supersonic speeds to observe him in the air. This whole time he was in contact with ATC at Calgary trying to confirm that they had contact with or could see the aircraft flying along side him, but to no avail. The ordeal seemed to have dragged on for hours, until the lights of Calgary came within view and the object left as fast as it arrived. Upon arrival, Mr. Rockefeller relayed his harrowing encounter to personnel on the ground, who ridiculed him for believing a black triangle was with him in the air. 

          The next morning, Mr. Rockefeller heard a loud knock at his door, and when he answered, two government goons and an RCAF officer were on his front step, inviting themselves in as soon as he opened the door. They rummaged through his house for any evidence and quickly told him that what he saw was simply a product of pilot disorientation, and that he simply confused an airliner traveling at height for something it wasn't. They departed his residence, seemingly believing they intimidated Mr. Rockefeller into silence... unknown to them though, Wings Of The Prairies had just opened up a secret hotline for UFO sightings, and Mr. Rockefeller was quick to contact us on the matter to ensure we'd bring the truth to the public!

          Upon writing this article, we contacted both Transport Canada and the RCAF on the incident- both government entities denied the existence of black triangles or that the incident occurred and remained adamant that there's no UFO bases in the rocky mountains... however, as you can see T. Rockefeller sent us a photo he hid from the goons who illegally detained him in his own home for seeing something he wasn't supposed to!
